A leading global supplier of personal care products has been an Agility client since 2013. But for the first six months, the partnership didn’t go smoothly. High volume, an improper handover from a previous provider, and a shortage of human and capital resources led to problems. Documents were late, dwelling times were long, and costs were high for port storage, demurrage and port penalties. Agility solved these problems by introducing an end-to-end control tower that allowed us to monitor the supply chain from the moment a purchase order was opened to the instant goods were received. We also engaged directly with overseas suppliers to monitor goods readiness, effectively cutting dwelling time and business waste.
