United Projects for Aviation Services Company K.S.C.P. (UPAC) is a full-service commercial real estate and facilities management company that is listed on the Boursa Kuwait and has operated in Kuwait since 2000.

UPAC manages over 24,000 sqm of commercial space and parking facilities at the Kuwait International Airport’s Terminal 1 and Sheikh Saad Terminal, as well as the parking and related facilities at the airport’s Terminal 4. UPAC is also a lead investor in the development of Abu Dhabi’s $1.3 billion Reem Mall mega-project.

UPAC’s services include real estate management, project management and consultancy, as well as maintenance and facilities management services. Reem Mall

Reem Mall, UPAC’s $1.3 billion mega-project in Abu Dhabi, is spread over 2.9 million square feet in the Najmat District of Reem Island, a 5-minute drive from Abu Dhabi’s central business district.

The mall is uniquely positioned to serve the majority of Abu Dhabi residents, visitors and tourists with a “complete day out” experience. Reem Mall is a one stop family shop, eat and entertainment destination, with 450 stores and 85 food and beverage outlets, as well as a wide portfolio of edutainment and entertainment anchors, including the world’s largest snow play park, Snow Abu Dhabi.

The mall embraces the heritage of the UAE and the localized uniqueness of Abu Dhabi, whilst providing a world-class experience and a personalized customer journey through the latest digital technology solutions. Reem Mall features the region’s first fully integrated omni-channel retail ecosystem with fully enabled digital, ecommerce and logistics capabilities. Reem Mall’s digital platform will allow customers to benefit from hands-free shopping online, with the added flexibility to collect their purchases from a digital locker or have it delivered to their homes. In addition, the app will also feature smart parking and indoor navigation. Users will also receive special updates on the latest deals, offers and discounts from their favorite brands and products.

Reem Mall is being developed by Al Farwaniya Property Developments, a partnership between Agility, United Projects for Aviation Services (UPAC), and National Real Estate Company (NREC). Together, the companies bring a sound financial base, deep experience in asset management and commercial real estate development, and a track record of successful mall operations.

Airport Mall & Facilities

At Kuwait International Airport’s main terminal, Terminal 1 (T1), UPAC manages over 10,000 sqm of commercial space within the Airport Mall, in addition to the maintenance and management of the parking lot and related facilities. Terminal 1 is considered to be the main gateway into and out of the country, catering to thousands of travelers and visitors daily. The Airport Mall consists of over 150+ retail stores, including food and beverage outlets, as well as travel companies. It provides 24/7 access to a variety of services including banking, telecom and car rental services, a range of restaurants and cafe options, in addition to other major retail and electronics brands located throughout the mall.

UPAC also manages T1’s multi-story parking facility which accommodates 1,500 vehicles in the short term parking, and 700 in a separate long-term parking lot vehicles. The company utilizes a state-of-the-art parking management system that includes License Plate Recognition technology, as well as Auto Pay machines at the terminal’s arrival and departure halls to enhance the customer experience when visiting the airport, ensuring smooth entry and exit into the terminal’s parking.

In addition to the management of the Airport Mall and parking lot, UPAC also provides land-side operational support for two passenger check-in zones including 86 counters, as well as the maintenance of all related counters and equipment, luggage belts and baggage carousels. The operation is managed around the clock to ensure timely delivery of any and all maintenance and facility management services across the premises.

Terminal 4

UPAC commenced operations of at Kuwait International Airport’s Terminal 4 (T4) on 25 January 2019, managing the parking lot and its related facilities.

The parking lot holds a total capacity of 2,457 parking spaces (1,800 in the short-term parking and 657 in the long-term parking), all of which are shaded and located within a short walk from the satellite building where passengers may easily cross the departure bridge connected directly to the terminal.

It utilizes state-of-the-art parking equipment which include technologies such as license plate recognition, automated entry and exit lanes as well as various other features for enhanced customer experience. UPAC has also installed an Auto Pay Station within the satellite building where customers can pre-pay their parking tickets thus facilitating a speedy and convenient automated exit, without having to wait in line for manual payments.

The management of the T4 parking lot comes after the signing of a five year concession contract in November 2018 with the Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC), for the development, operation and management of the parking lot and related facilities at T4.

The company continues to optimize its operations to ensure a convenient customer experience when parking at T4.

Sheikh Saad Terminal

UUPAC helped usher in a new era of executive aviation with the opening of the Sheikh Saad Terminal at Kuwait International Airport in 2008. This well-appointed facility caters to private aircraft owners around the globe who use private planes for business and personal travel. The entire 2,060 sqm premise is managed by fixed-base operator Royal Aviation Kuwait, a UPAC subsidiary.

Business jets, as well as private, chartered and commercial flights, have 24/7 access to a private runway, aircraft parking for 31 craft and aircraft storage areas. The main terminal houses a high-tech business center, lounges for passengers and flight crews, offices, retail shops and restaurants. The nearby car park, baggage control, security checks, immigration and customs clearance are all managed by UPAC’s operator.
