Civil Unrest Impacts Logistics Operations in South Africa

Due to the ongoing civil unrest in South Africa, logistics operations in Durban (KwaZulu Natal province) and Johannesburg (Gauteng province) have been severely impacted.

The unrest has reached the Durban port and depots and so any shipments currently at the port are not being moved, and shipping lines are starting to divert shipment from Durban to Cape Town. All roads between Johannesburg and Durban are currently closed and Durban remains inaccessible by road for deliveries. Air freight shipments into Johannesburg are currently not impacted but some deliveries within Johannesburg are affected due to hot spots of unrest. Ocean containers for Johannesburg via Durban are also not being delivered.
