Agility announced today that it has won a two-year contract to support the Gorgon natural gas project in Western Australia. The contract has an estimated value of A$232 million (USD 238 million) over two years.

As part of this contract, Agility will provide logistics, stevedoring and other related services in support of the Marine Loading Facility in Henderson, Perth. Agility was also granted a two-year extension on its existing contract that was announced back in May 2009 to support supply base operations and transportation services, under which the stevedoring services have been added. The value of this extension is estimated at A$256M (USD 262 million) over the period.

The Gorgon Project is one of the world’s largest natural gas projects and the largest single-resource project in Australia’s history.

The renewal of the Gorgon contract underscores Agility’s reputation for efficient, effective and highly dependable performance on complex logistics assignments.
