Chartered cargo flight delivers oversized generator to keep beverage factory running

After a tsunami struck Japan in 2011, the country faced a serious electricity shortage. A major beverage company was faced with the choice of shuttering its operations during summer, when electricity consumption spikes and service can be inconsistent, or finding an alternate source of power. However, getting a generator large enough to power factory operations was a challenge. Agility stepped in to assist, chartering the largest cargo aircraft to transport an oversized generator. Agility picked up the generator from a factory in Germany and transported it to Japan during a limited time frame. It was delivered safely and installed quickly, ensuring that factory operations went uninterrupted.
