When a leading luxury car manufacturer needed a provider to handle end-to-end distribution of spare parts in India, it turned to Agility. We built a national spare parts distribution center of more than 100,000 square feet near Mumbai to handle primary and secondary distribution. The center provides customs brokerage, warehousing and distribution services, along with inventory management of more than 2,000 SKUs. Warehouse operations include inspection, binning, sales order processing, packing and distribution. We also created an agile distribution network for delivery of parts within 72 hours to any area of the country. Our work helped this leading car manufacturer cope with its expansion across India.

A global automotive manufacturer wanted better control over its supply chain and to change the Incoterms of 62 pan-India suppliers from CIF/DDU to FCA/Ex works for buyer consolidation for Europe and Latin America. The automaker needed a service provider with global reach and a strong presence in India. Agility set up a control tower in Mumbai to enable smooth movement of cargo out of India. We held regional seminars to educate suppliers about the new process, documentation and packaging standards. We also created consolidation points in Delhi (NI), Chennai (SI) & Mumbai (WI). Agility’s work resulted in the automotive manufacturer converting suppliers to FCA/Ex works within six months, which gave it better visibility and control over logistics and costs.

A leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in India faced multiple issues with its cargo movements. It was working with third-party manufacturers based at multiple locations across the country, and neither the company nor its manufacturers had factory-stuffing permission at any of their locations. The company also had compliance issues. Agility offered the solution of cargo consolidation and used our Pharma Competency Center (PCC) at Nhava Sheva as the consolidation point for cargo bound to the same destinations. The PCC is a GDP-certified facility with a certified pharmacist. It is a temperature-controlled collection, storage and stuffing point. Agility’s solution helped the customer gain better control of its supply chain, solved compliance issues, enabled effective container utilization and provided considerable savings.
